Dr. Anna Sacio-Szymańska


She is Plenipotentiary for EU-funded R&D programmes and senior researcher (PhD in economics/ management) at the Innovation Strategies Department of ITeE – PIB in Radom, Poland. Responsible for the implementation of the R&D internationalization strategy of the Institute including organizational management of international projects in such thematic areas as: Enhancing the Innovation Capacity of SMEs, Factories of the Future, Integrating Society in Science and Innovation under Horizon 2020, ERA NET actions, COST or ERASMUS + programmes etc. Her main research areas are: innovation and R&D management, technology and corporate foresight, innovativeness and competitiveness of the economy, smart specialization. Member of the Polish Node of The Millennium Project, Polish Society of Futures Studies and Vice-President of Foresight Europe Network (FEN) during 2017-2018 term. Researcher in a number of R&D projects, such as: “Advanced industrial and ecological technologies for sustainable development of Poland 2009-2011”, National Foresight Programme “Poland 2020”, “Monitoring of innovation support policies and measures for sustainable development 2011-2014” financed under ESIF. Most recently, she has been the co-ordinator of two international projects: “Mobilizing corporate foresight potential among V4 countries” (FOR_V4) funded from the Visegrad Fund and “Becoming Future-ORiented Entrepreneurs in universities and companies (beFORE)” funded from Erasmus + Knowledge Alliance. Both projects aim to educate and increase the Futures Literacy awareness among academics, managers and students from Hungary, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Spain, Germany and Italy.
